All your base coats....

Well after a fight with an airbrush who has to be consorting with the ruinous powers, and a paint mix two times to watery we have a base coat.  I have finally made myself comfortable with it being "good enough".  This is not my primary army so I'm going to work with what I have, and make it look good with detail and some touch ups.
